Dog the Bounty Hunter’s Son, Tucker Chapman, in Jail

February 24th, 2008

 Tucker Chapman

So remember Tucker Chapman? He’s Dog the Bounty Hunter’s son, the one who almost cost him his realty TV gig on A&E after he released tapes of his dad using the “n” word.

He’s in jail now.

Dog the Bounty Hunter is Back on the Air

February 19th, 2008

So the scandal has died down and Dog the Bounty Hunter is back on the air. Now that he’s assured us all that he only means his racist epitaphs in a kind and loving manner. And since he doesn’t call every black person the “n” word, only the ones who are dating his son, A&E is willing to let bygones be bygones and put his show back on the air. Because, you know, Dog really cares.

Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman was probably hoping 2008 would be a better year for him. This might not be the case after his friend, colleague and reality television co-star, Tim Chapman, was found naked in his pickup truck performing a lewd act.

Dog: “I never did it out of hate”

November 7th, 2007

Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman had a revelation. He’s not black. He also doesn’t use the “N” word in a hateful manner.  Because, you know, he’s Dog and dog is down with the people. (This is me rolling my eyes.)

In an interview with Fox News, Dog said he always felt he had a connection with black people and he never said what he did out of hate.

“There’s a special connection that I thought I had between me and black America,” the emotional Dog the Bounty Hunter star told Fox’s Hannity & Colmes. “And I used to say, ‘I’m black, too.’

“In other words, my whole life I’ve been called a half-breed, a convict, king of the trailer trash, this and that…so when I stood there and said, ‘I kind of know what you feel like, because I’ve been there, too,’ that I felt that I could embrace and like, as brothers…say the word.”

“I now learned I’m not black at all, and I never did it out of hate,” Chapman continued. “This sounds so stupid. I always did it out of love. Other white guys would be like, ‘Boy, who does Dog think he is? Dog can say that.’ And black guys would be with me and walk with me and respect me.

“So, I went too far with that.”

Dog is also hinting his son has a drug habit and sold the famous audio tape to support it.

“I don’t know why he would do it, unless there’s some kind of habit or something he needs the money for,”

“There is no excuse,” he said. ”I’m guilty, and I will take my punishment. But the end of what I said is I will do everything there is in my power to make sure people have forgiven me.”

This is America. Next week there’ll be a new scandal and you’ll be forgotten.

Dog the Bounty Hunter to Co-Sign a Bond for Joe Francis

November 4th, 2007

So, while trolling the Internet this morning to find interesting items for Celebrity Cowboy, I came across this little bit regarding Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman. Apparently Dog is interested in co-signing a bond for “Girls Gone Wild” producer Joe Francis.

Dog Chapman learned of Mr. Francis’s plight watching On the Record with Greta Van Sustern — and was moved enough to take up Mr. Francis’s cause. “It’s a travesty that this man sits behind bars without having the opportunity to post bond,” Mr. Chapman said, explaining his motivation. “His rights are being violated.” Well, that and the fact that chasing down Joe Francis would make an excellent episode of Dog the Bounty Hunter … if production ever resumes.

I wonder though if he’ll still go through with it. It’s bad enough he portrays this Christian do-gooder, and gets caught spouting hate. What will it do for his image if he gets a soft core pornographer out on bail?
