Simpson Hearing Under Way

November 8th, 2007

According to CNN, O.J. Simpson entered a Las Vegas courtroom today as the prosecution began calling witnesses in the hopes of establishing probable cause.

The judge in the case is Judge Joe M. Bonaventure who began the proceedings by trying to separate himself from all of the celebrity ruckus with these objective words:

“My function is to determine if there is probable cause. If so, the defendants will be held to answer these charges in District Court; if not, those charges will be dismissed.”

But let’s be serious. The judge loves the spotlight. Don’t you think? Everyone wants their 10 minutes of fame. This guy too. Pretty soon he’ll be able to write his book and retire.

O.J. Simpson isn’t as poor as he’d like you to believe

October 24th, 2007

TMZ obtained tax statements released to Ron Goldman and O.J Simpson won’t be appearing on any bread lines any time soon. In addition to $400,000 worth of pensions received from 2003 - 2005, O.J. also earned $50,000 in appearances PLUS income from memorabilia sales.

Since Goldman can’t touch the pensions, he’s very interested in the other earnings as well as the $772,000 worth of “personal property” listed on the tax forms. O.J. owes the Goldman’s $33 million from their wrongful death suit after a civil jury found him guilty of murdering their son Ron and his ex-wife Nicole. At the moment, the Goldman’s are looking to seize his Florida home and other “personal” assets though they’re not quite sure what those assets are.

O.J. might as well give up the goods. You don’t need that sort of coin in prison.

O.J. Simpson has to find new digs while in Las Vegas, because The Palms isn’t having him. In fact, they requested him take his baggage and go. TMZ is quoting the hotel’s owner, George Maloof as saying “It’s highly unlikely he’d stay here again. We don’t need the drama.”

There’s always the Days Inn, Juice.

OJ Simpson high on cocaine during Las Vegas hotel raid!

Was OJ Simpson high on cocaine during his ill-fated attempt to retrieve “his stuff?”

The folks at the bar of the Palms hotel recall hearing OJ go off in an “obscenity spewing” rant about how people were trying to rip him off and that he was going to stop it. He was soon joined by two others.

“They introduced themselves as ‘Goldie’ and ‘Spence’,” a source told The ENQUIRER. “One of them said, ‘Hey, Juice, we’ll back you up. We’ll be your bodyguards so nothing happens to you!’”

As simply as that, the stage was set for O.J.’s return behind bars.

“O.J. was already in a rage that night,” said the source. “He was pretty cranked up on booze and cocaine.”

O.J. later burst into a hotel room and terrified both Bruce Fromong and Alfred Beardsley, who were selling memorabilia that O.J. insisted was stolen from him, including the suit he wore the day of his murder charge acquittal. O.J. also thought they were selling some of his late mother’s possessions.

But Fromong told The NATIONAL ENQUIRER, “O.J. made a terrible mistake — he and these gun-toting guys came for stuff I’ve never had.

“All the memorabilia we planned to sell, I had previously paid O.J. to autograph.

“His late mother’s stuff was bought by someone else sight unseen at an auction after her storage unit rent went unpaid. And the suit wasn’t included in the memorabilia we were selling, either.

“We were totally set up!

“When these four very big men burst into the hotel room — two of them with guns drawn — O.J. was right behind them, yelling, ‘I want my suit!’

“One of the men straight-armed me and shouted, ‘I’m gonna blow your brains out, you son of a bitch!’
