In case you’ve been wondering what happened to your daily dose of scandal, you can rest assured I haven’t abandoned my post. I’ve been attending the Blog World & New Media Expo so I can learn to be a better, faster gossip monger. The highlight of the event had to be today’s closing keynote by Mark Cuban. He shared his thoughts on blogging and also some behind the scenes dirt from dancing with the stars. For instance, he’s positive he’d still be dancing today if Marie Osmond didn’t “fake” a faint. (He’s kidding Marie, I promise.) He also told a funny story about how after Marie fainted she was taken backstage and given a cold can of Red Bull to place on the back of her neck. Instead, Marie, who just fainted mind you, popped the tab of the super energy drink and drank it down.
Mark also said he spent a lot more time trying to gather votes than dance because he felt it would be more beneficial since the audience gets a bigger percentage of the vote. He tried to get the other dancers to “do the math” but they weren’t interested.
